OPPORTUNITY
The COVID-19 pandemic made clear the need to improve Boys and Girls Clubs’ online access to program resources. To meet the need, a digital platform called “Club Programs” is being developed during the second half of 2021 to enable Club Staff to access BGCA’s program portfolio and plan their program schedules. Clearly user feedback is critical in ensuring the successful implementation of the platform, and that’s where Statement House came in to help out.
WHAT ARE WE DOING? WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Statement House is currently partnering with BGCA and local Club staff to gather feedback that will inform the platform’s development, dissemination, and support needs. Using the Core Principles of Constituent Feedback, we are developing and deploying a low burden, user-centered evaluation, using multiple research techniques including surveys, focus groups, and interviews, while analyzing site and page traffic. Together, these will provide a robust understanding on how the technology can best be integrated into program planning and delivery by the Boys and Girls Clubs network.
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Omar Guessous, BGCA National Director of Research, Evaluation & Insights knew any successful online program planning and delivery platform needed to be heavily informed by constituent feedback, and sought out an evaluation partner who could draw from multiple skillsets, including facilitation, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, Google analytics, and right-sized, user-centered research. Statement House began the work in partnership with Omar and his team in June 2021 and we are currently working to ensure the product developed is rock solid!
WHAT THEY ARE SAYING
